You Do You!

I tried to go to ABCv for breakfast/brunch last Friday. The place and people inhabiting it were quite beautiful, young, and decidedly female (millenials & Gen Z). I sat down at a table and encountered a substantial problem with my plan; I couldn’t find a single person who wanted to take my order. I waited and waited (unnoticed), until I got up and left (unnoticed).  I couldn't help but feel like an outsider in this crowd (old man). Imagine that! So instead, I went to a spot I have been frequenting recently, called Cozy (apropos, no?). This restaurant was established in 1972, my birth year.  OMG is this place dated ... am I too? The other patrons made me feel great about myself (young!). The food is very good, classic really. And, imagine this .... the waitstaff wants to take your order and feed you. It has one of those menus with absolutely everything on it, and I mean everything. So, while I find myself out there looking for the latest and the greatest, I've found there is comfort in the established and their establishments.

Master & Dynamic
Technology

Apple is just my speed, a company that has been around since the 80s. However, the iPhone has only been here for a decade or so. It is made for everyone, but especially the millennials. The design and functionality are fine by me, but there are other products out there do some amazing, sophisticated (yes, I consider myself so) things. Sure, Apple is out with its new Noise-canceling Ear Buds, but before you automatically purchase, I urge you to consider Masters & Dynamic new earphones. They are produced for the discerning sound lover, rather than the masses. In doing so, they have created an incredible in the ear experience, replete with 3x the battery life (40 hours total playtime), Bluetooth 5.0, and new features including feedforward Active Noise-Cancelling and Ambient Listening Mode. The charging case is something to behold and a great (Christmas, Hanukkah?) gift for someone you (really) love! They also fit differently and spot-on, with a variety of attachments to suit your particular ear shape -- no matter how unique.

Cactaki
Home

I love a good water bottle. I know the millennials own the water bottle category, but it is something I now claim as well. I have vowed myself to give up single-use plastic, including (especially) unnecessary water bottles. Join my movement. I am actively recruiting ... starting with my family. Enter the Cactaki, a well-designed, time marked water bottle that reminds you when and how much to drink for proper hydration. With a  wide opening, 32-oz capacity (fill twice), and fruit infuser, this water bottle makes your drinking experience seamless. 75% of all of us are dehydrated, which leads to a slew of other problems. Fix that now with a Cactaki. Save yourself and your environment one sip at a time. Thanks fellow Louper Avery V. for the recommendation.
