For a completely novel movie experience head to the uber happening Nitehawk Cinema where you can find the dinner and a movie experience all under one roof. At Nitehawk, you can enter the theater 30 minutes before the movie, sit-down and order delicious food and cocktails. During the movie, a server comes as well offering creatively movie-themed food and alcohol, a la the the Spielburger. Nitehawk has three theaters seating 28, 60 or 92 people per screen so book early because they do sell out. We saw Bridge of Spies here; however, they offer some unique signature series which are not your typical movies. These include Country Brunchin’ (country bands Western Classics, and Southern cooking), Local Color (where the directors come to speak about the film), Nighthawk Nasties (bloody, shocking films at midnight), and many more. More about alcohol and movies — a much needed combo. Nitehawk actually overturned the Prohibition era law prohibiting alcohol in motion picture theaters, so thank you, from my liver to yours. Downstairs is also a great stand alone bar also dedicated to movies called Lo-Res if you need one more drink or snack pre or post theater. AMC movie theaters beware, and consider Briskettown, Videology, and Nitehawk, all within walking distance of each other, Found!
