A new entrant to the Far East is Ishikawa, run by Sushi Master Chef Don Pham. This young gun earned his stripes at O-Ya (originally in Boston and now in Turtle Bay) and is a Vietnamese New Yorker who grew up on the UES from the age of 12 on. Sit at the sushi bar and enjoy the fish, the preparation, and the conversation with Chef Pham and other patrons. You can choose either a 12 or 15-course Omakase, and you won't be disappointed. The fish and preparation are unique and awesome!
